“Light and Some of Its Effects”

Many years ago I was processing data at a high rate of input. One of the experiments I read about, was done at a California University. It involved a group of researchers planting seeds; under different colors of light. Under blue light the vegetable growth was rated and reported to be twice what the normal would be. The red light caused very tall, thin or sparse growth. The yellow light caused small; irrational growth.

Another very interesting experiment involves a man by the name of Dr. Ott, who wrote a book titled: “Health and Light”. In the book he describes an experiment in photography. Where he set up to do some time lapse photos of apple blossoms; their pollination by bees; and the ripening of the fruit. He enclosed the branch inside of a glass greenhouse; the apples were fine until it came time for them to turn red and ripen. The rest of the tree did as usual; the apples turned red and ripened, his did not. Dr. Ott would think about it; and try again the next year. He changed the greenhouse panels from glass to plastic. That did the trick, the apples needed the added frequencies of ultraviolet light in order to turn red and ripen, and the glass did not allow the ultraviolet to pass through it like the plastic did.

These experiments make it clear that there is a lot we can learn about light’s effects on things that grow. My own experiments in growing of gold and platinum crystals are informative, and a lot can be seen and understood from the dendritic growth and its connections to the Sun and especially the monthly Moon cycle; which actually controls all fertility on Earth.
