Back in the early 1960s; there were magazine sales campaigns where groups of magazines were sold every year around Christmas time. My mom gave my stepdad a group of magazines for Christmas. The result was that at twelve and thirteen years old; I found myself reading or trying to read these magazines. The struggle was not with “National Geographic” ; ” Popular Science” or “Reader’s Digest“, but with “The Scientific American“. Sounding out words which I didn’t really understand any meaning for; that was a struggle. The subscriptions were renewed for years; and over the years I got educated about the world and views of those connected to the world; and science. There is no better form of education than those weekly publications like “Science Newsletter ” and monthly publications like “The National Geographic” magazines. After many more years; the biggest and most profound result is that the “Scientific American” magazine still has ignored the question of the cause and source of the motion of gravitation.

There is no comparison between the mass of irresponsible computer data currently available, and the hold in your hands magazines of the years gone by. 

These magazines and encyclopedia sets that were also being heavily marketed; were even better than the school programs that were being forced on the school attending students. I was doing the school attending; but the self-motivated encyclopedia and magazine reading; was much better, and more fulfilling. On top of the school programming, there was the church programming; which was also full of fake lines of thinking and history. Fortunately the early encyclopedia was printed before the church managed to take over and revise and edit all the truth out of the books being printed. Those were very revealing and fortunately were readily available to me. Even in yard sales; the old “National Geographics” magazine, and the old encyclopedia sets, were readily available; and cheap to buy. The older books and magazines had photographs from all over the world; no editing had been done; truth was the object; and even the hieroglyphs were photographed; with no editing out of the truth. Such was not the case when the church took over the school system and began its editing program on all materials used in the programming of our students in our schools. Church schools were created, when they found out they couldn’t totally control the public schools. Then the purge of our public libraries and their books became a major focus of attention; and the buying of media in publications became of priority concern. Now religion and its false man-god, and its domination of the media is the main objective, of both religion and its politicians.
