One legend has it the Knights Templar searched for the secrets; and blackmailed the powers that be into; believing that they had found the data and keys to the substance; after tunneling into Solomon’s abandoned Temple in Jerusalem. Personally I do not believe they had found or had access to the Essence, otherwise they would still be alive, and their illumination would be a recorded and noted thing. The same can be said of the members of the Vatican and its Catholic Church; seeking is not having.

Of course; having possession of; and being worthy of the consumption are totally different. According to the legends; the substance personifies or amplifies everything; including impurities. That means anyone taking the substance who is unworthy of it, is risking death.
